I figured it was time to read this book. I am not a big fan of "scary" books and I didn't see this movie. I did read Neil Gaimon's Graveyard Book which was a Newbery winner which I liked pretty well. Anyway, I thought this book was pretty good. I finished it in a day so it couldn't have been all bad. Coroline is bored in her new house and finds a mysterious door. When she decides to explore she finds herself in an alternate universe with her "Other Mother" and "Other Father". They seem perfect...maybe too perfect. The Other Mother tries to convince Coroline to stay but Coroline is a bit freaked and leaves. Unfortunately. the Other Mother is mad and takes her parents hostage. Coroline must confront the Other Mother to save her parents. Is she successful? Read the book to find out.
